Thread: Looking for a WiMax solution.

  1. #1

Question Looking for a WiMax solution.

I live in Broadacres, Fourways/Randburg, Gauteng. I won't go on about Telkom's inability to supply even the most basic Telecommunication Service to a complex surrounded by the infrastructure. The Telkom receiver box is just outside the complex situated below the telephone line. Cables were stolen, not surprisingly.

I'm looking for a WiMax or WiFi solution available in my area. Both Screamer and Amobia cannot achieve signal here and I can't seem to find an alternative ISP.

If you know of any please let me know... It is very much appreciated. I know many of you can understand what it's like to have no Internet access!
Preferably an uncapped solution, but maybe I'm just being fussy

    Regards
    Jay

Have you thought about moving to an area that does have ADSL?

Relocating is often the last resort as it is the most expensive to do...

Yeah exactely... I've just moved here... It's not my fault Telkom can't give me the service. We should be able to live where we want without having to be concerned about whether or not we have Telephonic access (unless you live far out in the desert somewhere, then you've brought it on yourself) Thanks Man
