    Default Best DynDNS.com Alternative?

    Hi All,

I know this topic has been covered before, a few times, but any help would be appreciated...

I'm having to setup quite a few dyndns accounts lately, linking clients to servers and so on... Are there any free DynDNS hosting places around? I currently use Dyndns.com but can only have 1 free account per email address and management of this is becoming a little annoying now

    Any suggestions?

Why pay when there are free options available? Not everyone can just splash money around! I'm not profiting from this so why spend my own cash? It's more of a favour...

If you are doing it for clients and they are not compensating you for it, then make them handle the dyndns details and if they lose it they must take responsibility. It does beg the question though, why are you doing free work for multiple clients, especially since it's for servers?

If your not prepared to pay then we are not prepared to listen to your rants, its only 10 dolla

Else just create a google apps account, oops you need a paid domain for that.
Else create multiple alias accounts for your email, oops you need a paid domain for that.

    Looks like your outta luck

Clients, being PC's on the network that aren't acting as a server and servers, well, being servers... All i asked for is what the best free alternative to DynDNS.com is, not to be asked why i am setting this network up and how to run it... I am simply setting up a test environment for a possible future development, so please reserve your opinions. All I asked is if there is a free dyndns hosting company? Let ME worry about MY finances thanks!

So i will ask again... If you know of a free dns hosting company, please let me know and it would be greatly appreciated!

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so

    http://www.sitegator.co.za/dns-hosting.html

You get access to cPanel from where you can perform simple or advanced DNS management, domain redirection and a few other services as well.

look, there is the RIGHT way of doing things and the dumbass way of doing things. You obviously want to choose the dumbass route. It's your choice as it's your freedom as a human to do so. But when others give you advice on the best ways to approach your problem instead of just answering your original question (seeing as you don't want your life to be less annoying, yet feel you need to bitch about it anyway), then go ahead and suffer. Just don't expect anymore help here again soon.
