First WiMAX Certs Could Be Issued This Week

<Q>So-called "fixed" WiMAX equipment has been in testing since mid-2005 at the CETECOM laboratory in Spain. The first pieces of equipment designed to the IEEE 802.16-2004 standard are expected to receive official approval from the Forum on Thursday</Q>
 
Something smile about I was in a meeting with IS yesterday who informed us that Telkom has lost their Testing license for WiMax :D dont know how true that is
 
Just got this in my inbox - not sure if it means companies not listed did not get certified .... definate lack of some members.

The second announcement was made on Tuesday where Redline's CPE received certification making Redline the only vendor with and end to end certified solution
 
Only listed companies have certification, and only TDD products were certified. Notable absents are Alvarion, Airspan, Navini. So much for all their noise...
