Tutorial DRIFTA on ANY Android Device

Hey guys

I've had the software running on my Desire HD and LG Optimus 3D for awhile now. Just got a Galaxy Note and updated it to ICS, now it doesn't appear to work anymore. I can launch the software, but it just does not detect the drifta device, although I can connect to it via my normal wifi settings? Any ideas?

i just need to understand something simple. does the drifta need a smart card to operate? does it get a separate unique one from the decoder at home? or do i have to use the one from the decoder?

also if there is a unique one for the drifta can both the drifta and decoder be used at the same time or not?

thats cause the dstv decoder app in the market is not properly compatible with ics.
just have to wait i guess

no it doesnt need a smartcard, i think it has a unique id built in to the drifta

thinkin of selling my drifta and getting a walka cause i dont see dstv giving us support any time soon

yes u can use both at the same time
no i dont think the walka can output a/v but thats quite useless as the picture is small and when stretched looks crap\

i wonder if i have a drifta and walka if i have to pay 2 subscriptions?

Hi all..
Seems like dstv update the drifter app. Better UI and it switches between the wifi and drifta automatically now. It does support more apps now but transformer is still left in the dark.

I have it running on mine thou, just PM me for details. You do have to run a custom rom pref the latest jellybean CM10.

i sold mine and got a walka.got fed up of waiting for dstv

im sure this will help alot of ppl tho!

I trust that you are well. Do you perhaps still have info, on how i can get the Drifta to work on a non supported device, that is NOT rooted?

I have a 10 inch Archos tablet. If i have to root to get it working, then please let me know
