Vodacom Broadband Ripoff Continues

This morning I noticed that when I turned my nokia phone it displays the new vodacom logo. I then remember being prompted for a phone update yesterday. I complied and updated my phone. If I remember properly the size was 800kb. I do not think it is legal for vodacom to make up pay for their marketing. Especially not with the high data prices they charge. 2 million updates could easily make then 3 million rand

Vodacom has no applications on the device , as far as i know , is this not a Nokia update? Remember we cannot cause data to run on your device , but we will bill you for the data usage , and this is normal.
 
I've never done updates over the air (OTA).

I prefer doing it the old fashion way of connecting my phone to a PC and using the software on the PC to update the phone, like Nokia OVI, or the likes.
