VPN issues using a HP PDA

Hi, does anyone know if there are any known issues trying to access a VPN gateway using a HP PDA over MTN GPRS. currently using the standard VPN client on the PDA.

you do not get a publically routable ip on MTN's "internet" APN, you are NAT'ed.

there is an internetVPN APN on vodacom that you can connect to to get a public ip. not sure if same exists for MTN.
 
If I use a PC instead with the Internet APN and the microsoft PPTP client it works fine, but not when using the PDA.
 
Maybe just a guess but just check if you can check what the authentication is set to on the PDA … PAP or CHAP
