The only thing that I am not going to like about ICS is that you cant plug your phone into your usb on your laptop and have it show up as a drive apparently. Why did they do this????

The problem was every time you go into usb mass storage mode, android has to umount the internal and sd storage area, since usb mass storage mode is a block level mode. This means that any apps stored on those partitions become unavailable, or data that apps need. The new method (MTP) allows you to still get to you files, but you don't lock the partitions every time you do. So far it works for me under Linux and Windows. I can see their point.

Ah ok...so do I still just plug it in or how does it work? I use Linux Mint.

That's how it works with my galaxy tab under mint 13 (with cinnamon). Hope it's the same with our razrs.

Ok, flashed euro ICS rom, everything working 100%, but the new MTP method does not work correctly under mint (but works under win7).
There is good news though. I see they still have a usb mass storage mode in this rom.

Ok...that is a relief. I dont do it often...but it is nice to just plug it in and drag and drop what you want to move over.

I think it's a Google thing, my Galaxy S3 also doesn't have mass storage mode, only something called "media player mode", which is largely the same thing. Nothing to stop Moto from adding it though.

I think something is happening. Tried checking for updates now and it says this:

"You cant check for updates at the current time.

Try again later"

I read on the Motorola Forums just now that the same message appeared when they started rolling out ICS in Europe. What you guys think.

Nothing here... If we're lucky it will arrive before every other phone in the world is running Jelly Bean. If we're lucky.
