Speaking of connecting by USB.
Does anybody have a solution to this problem?
Out of the blue, when I connect to my laptop via USB it doesn't register any longer. It charges the battery but thats all. I cant access the storage on my phone anymore, and also cant sync.
If you look at http://www.droidforums.net, there are many reports of this same problem but besides the suggestions to try a different cable or PC to connect with/to, which would be the logical first thing to try even before looking for solutions at this forum, nothing seems to help. Like most people, one day it was connecting to PC, the next day it was only charging the battery from PC, with no option in drop down menu for USB connection appearing any longer. Hard reboot also not successful.
Taks
You mean there's no MTP option? I assumed that's a feature of ICS, but since the only ICS device I've used is the Galaxy S3, maybe it's a custom Samsung thing?
Edit: Nope, it's definitely a built-in feature of ICS. Here's an explanation as to why they switched over:

So are most peoples. This is not a problem with all razr's, as it wasn't with mine either initially. But some ppl do pick up this prob out of the blue. Proof thereof can be found on http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...ml#post2177255 . You obviously don't have the problem that I am experiencing.
What you tried cleaning the connection?
I had that problem once too, and cleaned it with methylated spirits some cotton wool and wooden tooth picks and it works again.
Q8200/HD6850@850/1100/Kingston 8gig DDR1600/1TB Hitachi Cinemastar/24" LCD/500w 80plus Redstar - game the budget way...
I mean plugging in the usb cable and then updating software from the pc. Rooting is done by downloading the program, drivers, and then plugging in and running the root app. If you don't know then it's probably best not to do it.
I feel like an idiot!
I've been going around to so many cell phone shops asking for the razr hdmi cable for ages now and realised... I don't need one.
If you have a "newish" Samsung TV, your USB cable is all you need.
Then select mass storage when you plug it into your TV
Play anything, flawlessly. The razr & Sammy TVs make infinitely glorious sexy times.
I've also bought the Moto Nav Dock and it really is so awesome, totally worth the 5000 eBucks on takealot.
Then you use Smart Actions to use the Dock as a trigger to pump brightness, gps etc.
When I made the rule though I made 2 triggers, 1 - Charging from any source 2 - Navigation Dock.
This is cool because if for some reason your phone isn't charging, it doesn't go mad with all the battery draining features. I'd rather not wait until a 10% battery warning. But I suppose you can create triggers for different battery percentages... hmm..
Now saving eBucks for that HD Station thing
Sometimes these Smart Actions though can be annoying, it all depends on how you set it up that suits you.
