Never the less.. today my connection is all good :-)

Well speedtest.net isn't always a "truthful representation" of the situation.
Speedtest.net does at least 2 connections to the server. Sometimes single-threaded connections fail miserably, but speedtests prove the line to be "fine".

People are quiet instead of compliment went things go well, so I though I would break the silence and congratulate Openweb on a sterling month of Gold uncapped!

My account is the best it has ever been before! Well done guys!

    ^5.

Only issues I've had were as a result of issues with a) other networks and b) Seacom outage

Woke up today to find my OpenWeb Gold Uncapped international totally dead (IS backbone), I've emailed support. Glad I have another ISP a/c as a backup in the interim.

MrBeep - could this posting (from another local forum) be what I am feeling, maybe the work overran or is still affecting some IS a/c? (and BTW I have reset my router etc)

    Dear IS Client

    Planned IS Change Notification.

    IMPACT: Increased latency
REASON FOR CHANGE: IS engineer to optimise international routing IS REFERENCE: CRQ9140

    ADDITIONAL INFO:
Due to miscommunication, our international upstream service providers scheduled technical resources for Friday 10th (and not Thurs 9/02/12 as previously planned). We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The scheduled change (INTL Access services between SA and London affected. Optimise backbone infrastructure. Service interruption < 4hrs) did not take place this morning.
