Thread: PHP Files are not found

  1. #1

Question PHP Files are not found

Ok so I am with MWeb on their uncapped hosting package on a Windows Server, and I am learning asp.net, but occasionally I use PHP (for let’s say Wordpress in this case). But when I type the url of any file with a php extension, it says that the file is not found.

    You can try it: link

I have read on the internet that IIS does support php, but the admin(s) at Mweb need to set it up?
Can I ask them or do I have to sign up for a Linux server?
Sorry if the terminology is not correct, I am after all a noob.

Basically for IIS to allow php you need to add the php library/plugin for it. I'm not clued up on IIS but that's what I remember, from when I did it once.

Your best bet would be to log a support ticket with Mweb.

Once MWEB installs PHP support for IIS it'll be available for all sites being hosted on that server.
Not sure if that's what they want.
Then again, it's MWEB, not even sure if THEY know what they want.
    LOL.

    PS: here's PHP for IIS:

Got a response, they refuse point blank, they say I would have to sign up for the Linux package, guess I can't have the goodness of PHP (wanted to run wordpress) and ASP.net at the same time.
