Default difference between torrents and news servers - pse explain

it seems as if some of the guys who use news servers have progressed from torrent downloads. do you get movies and TV shows from news servers? sorry if that's a silly question but i can't imagine what else anyone would download. if the answer is "yes" how'd you do it? tks

Garyvdh's tutorial is good, but it's a little complicated for my taste. here is the laymen's guide to accessing News Servers:

    1) Register yourself on the Tor Network
    2) Access the Deep Internet via Port 288:34[168]
    3) Wait for it to connect, and listen for active servers (should take roughly 20 secs)
    4) Install all your NZB //FTPR points, and grab the latest release cache list via the Incoming Transfers Window.
    5) Go to the Search Field in the Black Panel (click on the tool icon twice)
    6) Type in what you need, search, and download.

*Be sure to nuke all bad releases, and seed the releases with Active Port String Uploads with ratios of 50:1 or higher.

    easy peasy

BitThief is freely available. We encourage you to download and use it. As it is a scientific project, we require measurements of the performance of our exploits. For that purpose, the client occasionally transmits data to our webserver. The transmitted data merely contains information about the time required to download files of different size. In particular, only a hash of the info hash is transmitted, which means that it is not feasible to determine what has actually been downloaded. However, we advise you not to download any copyrighted material.
    Nee dankie.
