    Default New builder, 1st builder (LLano)

    Hi

    Looking to build my first PC based on AMD's Llano processor. Its an "all-rounder" type of build with the option to play games without spending on discrete GPU. Please can you give input, specifically the PSU (I have no idea how to check how much power is enough!).

    CPU - AMD A8-3850 (R1350.00) http://www.wootware.co.za/amd-a8-385...processor.html
    MOBO - Asus F1A75-M PRO (R995.00) http://www.comx.co.za/MB-AF1A75MP-As...ap-p-48172.php
    PSU - Antec EarthWatts EA 380 (R507.00) http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/pro...33&language=eb
    Chassis - Antec 300 (R579.00) http://www.comx-computers.co.za/CH-A...ap-p-25415.php
    RAM G.SKILL 2x2GB DDR3-1600 (R370.00) http://www.wootware.co.za/g-skill-f3...ry-retail.html
    HDD - Western Digital WD2500AAKX 250GB (R512.00) http://www.comx-computers.co.za/WD25...ap-p-49743.php
    DVD - SAMSUNG SH-S222AB 22X DVD-RW (R272.00) http://www.comx.co.za/SAMSUNG-SH-S22...ap-p-51388.php

    TOTAL = R5518.00

    That power supply is fine with that PC as it is. Maybe even if you add a low end gpu. If you ever want to add anything mid ranged you'll need to upgrade the power supply.

    You can save a couple of bucks by getting a different PSU, RAM & DVD-Writer:
    PSU: Antec VP450P @ R426
    RAM: Kingston ValueRam KVR1333D3N9K2/4G , 2x 2Gb kit @ R248
    DVD: LG GH22NS50 , 22x , SATA @ R158

    Rather get more RAM than faster RAM.

    @Pada - Thanks for the advise.

    Will take a serious look at the items you recommended.
