Remote Connection on 8ta
I have got the 8ta Go Big 10gb deal, and need to access my work PC from home via Real VNC.
The connection fails though, but is accessible via ADSL... I have read about "Unrestricted APN" and called 8ta to request that they unrestrict my APN, to which the lady logged the problem to be sent to the techi's as she didn't know what i was talking about.
Does anyone know what process to take, to get my 8ta 3G allowing a VNC connection? Thanks!

Basically i used Teamviewer instead of VNC to connect remotely and it works really well! Nice and fast too...

Open "cmd" and type: tracert IP address
EG:
tracert 192.168.0.1 (and press enter)

Have you solved the problem yet? I have just established that 8ta's official position is that they do not have an unrestricted APN and also do not have a process in place to entertain the request (today's problem with 8ta - which has shaved off a huge portion of my life)

While i couldn't use VNC to connect remotely... Teamviewer works wonders with no problems, as does the Windows Remote Desktop Program (RDP). I'd recommend you setup "Unattended Access" in Teamviewer and use that...
