They have stated that initially they will only be available "1 per customer" due to limited production. I am sure you will be able to buy a bunch together later.

Also stated that there is no volume discount structure or special dealer discounted pricing, as it not intended as a commercial project. One price fits all.

Sure but requires additional development. That what makes the Raspberry PI better, as it has I/O on board

Honestly, the maximum I would go for something like this is in the R600 odd range... that should be MORE than enough to cover duties and shipping plus a bit of profit for whoever brings it in.

Depending on your hacking/electronic skills it is possible to get a serial port line from the PCB that can be attached to a micro-controller/Arduino.

There should also be allot of ready made IO boards that can be driven from a USB port.

    * I made the assumption if someone is looking @ the RasberyPi for General I/O they might have some electronic skills and would not mind hacking the TP Router.

For me the big win of the router is the Included Wireless N networking and size.

There is allot you can do with a telnet/ssh connection ;-)

Yes I agree, the TP Router is relative slow when compered to the RasberryPi.

Have any of you ordered one? I would love one, but the raspberry pi shop doesn't have it listed. Anybody? I sooo want one

*Edit, never mind. They'll let people on the distribution list know, so I am trying to subscribe. It looks uber wanted though, so I hope I can get one.

Dont know what I am going to do with it yet, but I'll come up with something soon enough

Hopefully Rs.co.za will pick it up. They picked up the Arduino, and some obscure Olimex dev boards. The mbed translated reasonably well in price - about 20% local markup.

    Highly unlikely.

It's not a commercial venture, so it's not going to happen.

Edit:... or at least in the short to medium term, and it's stated outright.

What license is this product developed/released under? If it's open source and it takes off I'm pretty sure others will jump on the bandwagon and start manufacturing them. I looked but could not find anyhting about the license, the schematics & board artwork are on the net so yo never know...

I've e-mailed them to ask about availability. Will let you know what they say.
