Recently bought Megadeth's Rude Awakening. For any Deth fan, this is a must own!

Here's one of the songs, She-Wolf; it kicks into overdrive around the 3:00 mark when they go "off script"!!

I really love Megadeth. I just wish Mr. Mustaine would leave the politics to the politicians.

    A fellow Megadeth fan, awesome!
Disagree on the politics angle though, it's what drives him as an individual and his music. That's who he is, and the best music usually arises from expressing some truth about yourself or a passion. It's been that way from the start, think about Peace Sells but Who's Buying, Rust in Peace, or even Holy Wars, etc.

How have you enjoyed their latest album, Th1rt3en? Personally it's actually one of my favourites. Although I enjoyed Endgame, Th1rt3en really raised the bar, great stuff.

What about some swedish death metal?

As this is a SA forum, I'll give my two favourite SA metal bands ever:

    Groinchurn
    Crystal Dawn

Personally love Ziltoid the most, still trying to get into Deconstruction, as it features one of my favorite drummers

Ziltoid is epic! Dev started work on Z2 already and then Epicloud is being released in a month or two...cant wait Dirk did some really good work on Deconstruction...if you want to understand that album, read the lyrics while listening from beginning to end.

Will do ^^ I have both albums but Deconstruction didn't have the effect Ziltoid had on me (not yet). I mean the first time I heard 'Solar Winds' I felt some very strange emotions ;P

I think Deconstruction will 'click' with me in due time.

For something a little lighter - an alternative video of Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast:

I like older metal. Stuff like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, the old Metallica, etc. I cant stand death metal or whatever it's called.

Got the latest Wintersun. Pretty good actually. Also taken a liking to Insomnium (sp?).
