Xbox LAN help

Hi

My bro and I live next to each other. He has the X360 elite and I have X360 slim. Would it be possible for the two of us to connect our xbox's and play against each other without xbox live as we have no internet connection. If so, could you please point me to where I can get instruction on how to set this this up.

You're talking about "System Link" - see details here.

Keep in mind that you both need a copy of whatever you want to play, and the game explicitly needs to support "System Link".

There are some great titles with system link, but make sure you both have the same version of the game and also that both you guys have updated your dashboards to the same version..

can xbox slim support system link over a wifi network? i don't think i have cables long enough to connect from my neighbor's house to mine but we can see each other's wifi...
