As a pundit I actually find his views to be rather unbiased. He wrote an article on diving after Carrol's dive and never slated him for it. Admittedly I haven't seen him that often but when I did he always have rather refreshing views even if it was city or Liverpool. Now being an ex united player and a defender, you can hardly day his hate shines through after a blatant dice by a Liverpool player. Bear in mind this is before Youngs antics took place.

Just because he was a united player doesn't mean he can't give comment about a team not performing in the league. If anyone has a link to the article I'd appreciate it.

I even found Liverpool fans on an English forum agreeing with him on comments made about Liverpool, and they hate his guts, that had to say something about his class in his new job.

I take it your comment is based purely on him as a player and not as an analyst?

I haven't actually seen or heard him in the analyst role, but from comments I see around he seems to be fair about the analysis he makes. But yeah in his playing days he did his best to rub it into faces of Liverpool fans, once even fined by the FA for wild mocking celebrations in front of travelling Liverpool fans at Old Trafford, which led to violent scuffles. And this:

The former Red Devil once infamously remarked: “I can’t stand Liverpool, I can’t stand the people, I can’t stand anything to do with them.”

I'm a LFC fan, but realistically, i cannot see us beating Chelsea in the final.

Gary Neville is a great pundit! I've seen some of his stuff on youtube. He is a far better pundit than he ever was as a footballer.

Based on what? We have beaten them in two encounters thus far this season, to take it to a run four straight wins against them. If anything, it is Chelsea not looking forward to a Cup final against Liverpool, especially with the extra incentive their fans gave by the disrespect shown on Sunday for failing to observe the silence in respect of the Hillsborough disaster anniversary.

Don't tell me you'd prefer Terry Payne or Gary Bailey's unbiased views then...

Gary Neville is doing an awesome job being an unbiased commentator and from his own personal experience and his experience of SAF, his relating how Liverpool can improve, not how **** they playing...

That's not enough. They are playing some really good football. We are not.

    +1

Agree with everything you've said. The supersport commentators are sh!!!!t. Before the Semi-Final, Andre said "Liverpool might not make it into Europe this season" well news flash you retard, winning the Carling Cup = Europa League qualification.

Oupa Terry and Gary Bravo? Nah...although I did like the stint John Barnes did with them during the WC..hopefully he's back for Euro2012.

Anyways, Neville can be as unbiased as he wants, he is still a twat, that is my opinion and I stand by it. And although it would be extremely tempting to punch his ratface if ever I come across him in the street, I'd just do the polite thing and tell the Manc scum to sod off.

Cup finals are not about playing good football. It's about winning on the day, and we've doing that over them more often than not. The team will be up for it; have faith

Honestly, Phil Neville is as good a pundit as he was a player. Really can't give him more praise than that.

I have to agree with the sentiments about Gary Neville. Although a Manc through and through, his comments and views are refreshingly unbaised and generally spot on the money.

Oh, and Gary Bailey wears a wig........................'nuf said !!
