I knew this plick was going to be in the mix ...... over the hill, has been Bulls getting a shoe in with Meyer, bugger the current talent.Fourie du Preez has made himself available to the Springboks for the Test series against England in June.
: Inspired to violence by majesty :
Well that is not very nice to say.
http://www.rugby365.com/all_news/sa/news/2880925.htmDu Preez said it would be an honour to play for the Springboks again if his services are needed in a crisis, and explained that he would be happy to work with the younger players as a mentor but added that he believes players based in South Africa should have the inside track.
"However, I believe South African-based players should receive preference in the national set-up," said Du Preez.

In a crisis?
Well I don't think we have a crisis at scrumhalf....

Duvenhage has no bok exp.
If Hougie is injured we have no senior scrummie with test experience in SA....
Hougaardt was Fourie's understudy... does that not look like it is paying off?
Damnit Mickey don't make me bring your choice of provincial team's scrumhalf into the conversation![]()

Yep, it did pay off, which now make him the first choice scrummie.
Now is also a good time to blood new players who should still be around for the next RWC. We all go on about how strong the S15 is in comparison to Northern Hemisphere competitions, so now is the time to acknowledge the players who are performing at S15 level.
If all else fails bring back Ruan!![]()
Celine: "I'm not saying you're stupid, I just think you have bad luck when it comes to thinking."
Good point.
At the moment I would rather have Ruan on the bench than Fourie as he is playing "tougher" rugby and he covers no. 9, 10, 15 and hougie 9,11 and in a VERY tight spot 13.
It also solves the experience problem.
I will not have a problem with fourie coming to give the young guns some tips and as far as hm being included, well it won't have me cursing as badly as lets say bringing Bobby out of retirement again![]()

Thant Said, i have a few options i would like to explore with P.Spies playing lock rather than NR8, i think hê would make a damn fine lock and that would open the door for D.Vermeulen, he plays the role indirectly at the bulls quite allot.
I don’t think anyone can question CJ Stander and Jaques Potgieter this far, they are playing brilliant rugby, CJ stander not being a natural fetcher has outperformed the other “fetchers” this far
My reason for Francios Steyn in the team is I’m not sure if he will be available, if he is then he will be a sure pick, shifting de Villiers to outside centre.
The props have not really impressed me that much, Jannie Du plesies has gone backwards on a few occasions, Dean Greyling is playing some of the better rugby this season
Oi!!
