Free-diving assistance (learning etc)

I want to take up free-diving. Any enthusiasts on this forum? Anyone based in Joburg that wants to help me out?

I used to a be support diver few years ago. Best bet would be to contact Normalair Underwater Club or Wits Underwater Club and see if they can refer you to somebody also try contacting CMAS in Krugersdorp

Look up the underwater hockey clubs around joburg. Most of the people who are involved in the sport are also pretty involved with spearfishing and free diving.

Don't know if they're still around, but Orca in the south of joburg used to have their own underwater hockey and spearfishing/free diving club with quite a following. They were always pretty damn good on advice and price on scuba equipment when I dealt with them. If I remember correctly the owners name was Scott Craig ...errmm ...or it could be Craig Scott ... just remember he had 2 first names
