pop3 email setup question

I have a friend with an IPhone 4, he has an email account hosted by an ISP (pop3).

I have setup his mail (imap). Problem is when he deletes a message on the phone, he does not want the message to be deleted from Outlook. Is there a setting on the iPhone that I need to change?

Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/ *select the account you just added* /Advanced/Delete from server... set that to "Never"
