Hi,

Haven't seen any comments yet, although @lantic have posted the news on their facebook page.

Apparently you get get unlimited night gigs (from 6pm to 6am) by adding an additional R59 to any existing @lantic package (seems like it would even apply to a 1gb data bundle)

What is seems to me is that for under R100 (1gb data+night add-on), you can purchase a completely uncapped "after hours" account. Is this correct?

Does anyone know if there are any FUP or 'Fair use' terms to this new special?

Ive had a look and it looks almost too good to be true.

@alkit

You have it correct if you take ADSL Gig4Gig (Home and up) which provides one free gig of data per month to use all day plus ADSL Uncapped Bolt-on. You effectively can pay as little as R59.00 per month (excluding setup fees) for ADSL capped in the day and uncapped in the evening. ADSL Uncapped Bolt-On is also open over weekends, thus uncapped internet all day over the weekends.

The Fair Use Policy is the same as all of our Consumer Uncapped Accounts.

@Graal

ADSL Uncapped Bolt-On is regarded as "Gold" shaping, which means it has very limited shaping.

Glad to see a representative on the forum. Thanks for the reply!

I would like to have more info regarding this please. I thought the uncapped is only available to ADSL Capped customers. Is the Gig4Gig options regarded as Capped Customers?

So am I right in saying that most of the cost of uncapped comes from daytime usage? I have been waiting for someone to make a product like this as I don't mind only downloading in the night/weekend.

@ @tlantic, You stated the following: "ADSL Uncapped Bolt-On is regarded as "Gold" shaping, which means it has very limited shaping."

I have a 1Mbps ADSL line. Will I be able to get decent speeds after hours?

This seems to good to be true!

It's almost enough to make me reconnect my ADSL... :)

Not dependent on line size (i.e. line speed not applicable)
Dafuq does that mean? I.e. I have a 10Mbps line from Telkom and a 1Mbps account from @lantic will I get 10Mbps speed after hours?

I would suppose that speeds of up to 1024kbps lines would be possible, but 10Mbps lines are a bit extreme. Just looking at what other ISPs ask for speeds above 4Mbps Uncapped should prove this
