"little as telnetting into a router" ?? Dush. 1-A person that feels necessary to be a total jackass.

Sorry for the delay, Friday braai
NO need for name calling, or Punctuation corrections as long as you can understand the point i'm trying to make.

Only reason im concerned is i was taught telnet is very vulnerable and from a self proclaimed hacker as well, but il decide for maself
Thanks anyway i checked out the site and the Lab,
Layer 3 switching, redundant connections, and possibly some etherchannel, just to safe i'l compose it on Packet tracer and configure there.

    1. You're still spelling douche wrong... FFS!
    2. You are correct that Telnet *could* be insecure...if you are on the receiving end, i.e. incomming connections. Outbound telnet connection really don't pose much of a risk to you. For someone throwing big phrases around like "Redundant connections", "Etherchannel" and "Layer 3 switching" you really ought to have known this...

@Srothman, Going to church everyday doesn't make u a christian, like standing in a garage way make u a car.

Most Common + Most Vulnerable = Most Dangerous, il stick to "SSH" then.

Ciscodarkie, you do realize that in this case, the guy already gave you login details, in which case using telnet is not a security risk. Telnet is only a security risk, if you log in to your own devices, and someone is listening in on the conversation, and then grabs your login details. SSH will prevent that, but seriously, in this case, the login details are already available to the world. So GG to whoever listens in on this connection and then think he has hit the jackpot...

We already explained to you, telnet is not an issue here, yes in general it is, but not in this case.

ps. Your church vs car analogy is a complete failure. Why would any non-christian go to church anyways.
Few people can see the genius in someone who has offended them.
