Thread: Cell C 3gig R399 valid for 365 days

    Default Cell C 3gig R399 valid for 365 days

After reading all the positive press on Cell C, I gave them a call and they have a package 3 gig R399 valid for 365 days, which is perfect for my iPad use.

I generally use my iPad at home, wireless. I needed service provider that was affordable and also offered rollover valid for more than 2 months. 8ta was cheap but rollover was only 2 months.

The above package seems perfect, going to get it tomorow.

Does anybody know of any other better priced packages.?

    thanks

Best package for iPad and phone data is that package. I have used it for my iPhone and is brilliant. It is one of kind.

    that's brilliant.

As long as you have coverage.

    Interesting. A year is excellent.

I use that same package on my iPhone and iPad. (I cut both sim cards myself. Not paying over R100 for a micro sim card).

I use wifi at home and at work, so this package is perfect when you are away and you have good coverage.

Now with this new 99c for real voice promo, I'm covered.

My VodaCom Blackberry talk 100 contract ends next month. I'm porting to Cell C prepaid and getting this 3GB bundle and a Galaxy S III when it comes out.

I can't seem to find any more info on it. I assume you can use the sim as a normal pre-paid voice one as well?

I am sure you can, but you can always buy a "99c for real starter pack" which will be available in store from Sunday 20 May and then port your number to the sim card and then buy a R399 3GB virtual voucher which is only available at Cell C stores and load the 3GB onto the sim card.

Just be aware that there is a difference between the "3 GB sim card" and purchasing the 3GB virtual voucher. The data for both are valid for a year, but if you are using the 3GB virtual voucher on an ordinary sim, you have keep the "airtime window open" by buying airtime each time (max 120 days at a time). This is only a problem if you wish to use the sim for data only.

Can I load this on a top up contract and get the 3GB with a 365 day expiry?

It was a bit short sighted of Cell C to price both bundles the same, i.e. the 30 day 3GB bundle and 365 day 3GB bundle costs the same price. It is easy to make a mistake. Why not just make one of the bundles R1 cheaper to aid distinguishing them?

Hoping the Cell-C rep comes along and gives us some clarity
