So I wonder if your line degrades then you get billed for the lower speed ?

The guy I spoke to suggested I wait till the 1st to upgrade to avoid billign issues.

Most ISP's restrict your speed when the lines get upgraded if you're on uncapped (eg. even Mweb said they'd have a different price for 2meg when the lines get upgraded, 1 meg ppl not getting an upgrade from their side); but this 384k upgrade's a bit of a special case. Either way, I'm already on 1 meg, if I have to stay at that instead of going to 2 meg, I can probably live with it.
Maybe I'll wait till the line upgrades and see what happens first. Only an extra month. I still have Weekender to keep me going.

I think the R50 per month 384kbps does not allow downloads, only web browsing.

I'm currently on their 1mb nightrider and average about 60 gigs a month for R499pm. Although, I have 75gb account with another ISP which I use.

Does anyone know any more info on their FUP? Last time I signed up for Cybersmart's trial uncapped, I was kicked off due to downloading to much. :P

Also, anybody know the contention on their capped 384kb line as opposed to the uncapped 384kb line?

You could probably phone them and find out about their contention ratio on capped account. Information like that is pretty hard to figure out.
