Wireless Network Assistance Needed

Good day everyone.

Apologies if this is the wrong section but I couldn't find a Networking forum section.

I am in urgent and desperate need of assistance with my wireless network. Ihave drawn the current setup and the link to the pic has been provided here.

This is my question:

What would be the quickest, cheapes, easiest and wireless option to sort this issue out.

Simply put, I need to improve WiFi signal strength by my computer and I don't know weather to go for a signal extender or to get another wifi router and use WDS ........... I need expert advice.

Please keep in mind that I am looking for the cheapest and easiest wireless solution .... I don't want to run a cable.

1. Get a proper router.
2. Move it closer to the window. Should give you better penetration, albeit not a lot better.
3. You can opt for an extended antenna for the PC and mount it by the window to try and enhance the signal.

I have thought of point 3 ... but I would rather get either a Range Booster or another wireless router .... question is which one will work with the W40.

I agree with point 1 ... but I can only afford 1 new router at present.

I have tried point 2 and you are right ... not much of an improvement.

Can you suggest a wireless router that will work with the W40 and later with perhaps a Linksys (when I get some cash)?

Better penetration *hee hee*
No but really. I solved my issue by putting a booster at the halfway mark where the signal was around 2 bars. It worked just peachy. I have since moved and sadly do not remember the name of the booster but I do recall I got it for around R500 so not so bad
