call me a noob but why do we always see this " " in the thread headings.
There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.
Back on topic, prior to ditching DSTV back in March I noticed the majority of advertising was for DSTV themselves or wasted space like the BBC channels weird graphic thingies (both intensely annoying) so I guess the companies that do advertise have to pick up the financial slack for lost revenue.
I often wonder why they don't flight free PBS stuff along the lines of safe driving tips etc. I picked up a lot of my driving habits from this type of insert in the UK long before I was old enough to drive - silly things like not overtaking on a blind rise which were presented in a humorous cartoon format as opposed to gory "Blood & Guts" reality stuff.

1. Increasing rates
2. Improving content in order to attract more viewers to attract more advertisers

Another saga of epic fail
The dinosaurs will die. They need to adapt or their days will be numbered. More and more consumers will move to new media.
