Thread: Best Business Uncapped

  1. #1

    Default Best Business Uncapped

After many months of trying we have finally convinced the boss to get uncapped internet for the office. We are located in Stellenbosch and still stuck with 4mb in the area, so keep that in mind.

We use about 40 gig a month and at the moment make use of Cybersmart capped.

So what's the best business uncapped to switch over to? I often hear people going on about Afrihost and looking at their prices they also look the most reasonable. Also being suggested is a OpenWeb Gold account.

So if anybody with XP on these products can help me out please
    Congratulations!
You are no longer on our brand new MTN network!

I have no xp on the business accounts, but if their home accounts are anything to go by, the Afrihost account should be excellent. They claim completely unshaped bandwidth during the day. I think the best would be to pm the Mweb, Afrihost, Webafrica and Openweb reps on the forum and see what they can offer you.

Im sure in the business class, there isnt going to be much to go on except for the price... I may be wrong though. good luck

Just make sure you get a business account and not a home account. The normal Openweb gold is deprioritized during the day, while the business gold is best during the day.

Just saying that so you don't choose the wrong product and end up unhappy. HOME uncapped WILL NOT perform for a business during the day.

No matter what happens over the rolling period, the account is NEVER shaped or throttled during Business hours.

Then you should remove the rolling window. Gives a bad impression which I'm sure puts some people off.

The rolling window essentially is there to ensure that the product is used for it's intended purpose, which is during business hours. And the threshold is very generous so it would really need to be abused to be enforced.

*Please Note: Business ADSL accounts are Guaranteed to be completely unshaped and unthrottled during business hours.
We do however reserve the right to, if absolutely needed, de-prioritize Business ADSL bandwidth outside of business hours.
** We will be introducing Fixed IPs in the near future - at this time we only offer dynamic IPs.
*** Download speed is dependent on the line speed combined with the package speed. Taking a faster package on a slow line will not increase speed.
**** ADSL Line Required to make use of ADSL Bandwidth. If you need an ADSL Line, sign up for one here

    Hi FreddyB,

Please feel free to take a look at our Business Uncapped packages.

We don't employ rolling windows or shaping as business accounts always receive the highest priority on the network.

If you would like to PM us your contact details I can provide you with more information and answer any questions you might have.
