    Default Vodacom Contract

Hi guys just want to know something, I have a contract with Voda eneding on 4 sept, how do I go about cancelling it.

Tired of the rip off network that charges R2.60 a min and not even with per second billing

    Thanks

You really want to go through all that schleb now? Why not just wait till the contract runs out? Only 2 months to go

Maybe I'm missing the point but here's what I did anyway:
I emailed customercare@vodacom.co.za with a copy of my ID,asking to cancel the contract at the original termination date (in my case April 2014).

They replied by asking if they could make it prepaid afterwards - i said no

They replied by confirming that the data number will be deleted on 30 April 2014.

As long as you have the email confirmation you should be fine hopefully.

This was to ensure that they dont continue billing me at the ridiculous R349 per month once the contract expired.

..... and after all that, cancel debit orders to be safe. Just make sure you don't owe them anything because some items are billed only 30 days later

easiest ... wait till 4th Sept, migrate to prepaid... you can then port to whichever network you choose and keep your number without any double fees

I'm also in a similar situation with a Laptop and Data contract. I've sent the e-mail but still awaiting a reply - mine is expiring mid August, but apparently they need a months notice....

Unsure whether it automatically renews upon the 24 Month lapse... hope it does not - I want to get away from Vodacom

Also cancelling my Vodacom contract, as getting a good smartphone on a Vodacom upgrade is unheard of, unless you willing to pay for it.

Na i mean i want to cancel in september. I jsut dont want to be billed extra, because the contrac states it will carry on a onth to month basis after the contract expires

Shouldn't a name change be accompanied with an official notice at MyBB?
