A guy walks into our office earlier. Hands me and my colleague each a Card with the Sign Alphabet printed on it. I was like okay what is this about. The awkwardness begins when he stands around and it is then when we realise he is deaf and mute, and he is expecting us to pay for the cards. We read the card and realise its R20 for the card. I didn't have my wallet on me and my colleague had hers. She gave him the money and he took the card he gave me. Now I wonder, if it would have been considered cold if we did not give him anything? I mean he basically forced it upon us? What would you have done...?

Hate it when people do that. Yes it makes me feel bad saying no but I say no anyway because I don't think they should do that.

You've never encountered these guys before? Wow they like pop up a lot in shopping centres. I don't give them money

Hey, as I'm part of Deaf community. You should never pay for Sign Alphabet card! Just chase him away. They just want getting money from you.

Thanks now we know for a next time. We will gladly donate money to any charity if we know it will go for a good cause, but it really pisses me off when people try and get money for a causes and uses the money for their own gain
