Hey guys, stupid noob issue I have and hope you can help.
I have a Vodacom 3G USB modem, 1 mini HP server PC, 2 PC's and 1 XBox 360.
Previously I installed the 3G Modem in the mini HP server. I have both a 8port gb switch and wifi router connected to the mini HP Server. I then shared the internet connection through the LAN connection and was able to pick up internet access on all my machines (also through the XBox 360 using the wifi router). I am using dedicated IP's on all (standard 192.168.0.* range) hardware NIC's.
On the guest machines, I added the gateway and Vodacom DNS servers.
I had to change the LAN settings as I took my server somewhere's else for a while but upon trying to recreate the internet connection, it wouldnt work.
The mini server is running Win 7 (x86) with no service pack. After the connection trouble, I tried to update to SP1 but for some reason, which I have neglected to google, it refuses to install SP1. My other two machines are running Win 7 SP1 (x64).
But, regardless, it worked before.
Even on the mini server LAN network settings, I don't get the Internet Access display, only No Internet Access.
I have disabled all firewalls, reinstalled the USB modem, tried to use DHCP from the wifi router, nothing works. I've selected the 3G connection as the "Allow to Connect through this PC's internet Connection" in the LAN properties.
