I recently purchased Linksys WAG120N Router / Modem from an online shop. I was charged more for shipping then what is stated on their website, I didn't notice this at first though. Said item isn't working as it should, the QOS doesn't work at all and not to mention the fact that said router isn't capable of syncing to my dsl line.
Every once in a while it finds a connection, but drops it again after a short while. I've had Telkom out and they took a look at the line and there doesn't seem to be a problem with it now, there was a bit of noise when on the telephone etc, but it's all cleared up, but the problem is that my old Billion router was able to sync just fine, and it still does, the Linksys I purchased doesn't however.
I contacted the online shop where I bought said item, but it doesn't seem like they want to give me a refund, instead they said that they would replace said item if it is deemed as faulty, but if it's not then I will incur a service charge.
So now I would like to know from all you smart guys and girls out there (I can't seem to reach a friend who usually helps me out with legal issues), do I have a foot to stand on, or will they really be able to have their way with me?
