    Default New drum kit

So I am looking to buy a new kit and get rid of my Roland electric kit. I have been looking around and this really strikes me: http://www.orangemusic.co.za/images/...ht%20black.jpg

Its the Mapex Meridian midnight black kit. Looks sick. Not sure if there are any stores in JHB that sell them, anyone know? Also what else would you recommend?

May I ask why you want to get rid of the electronic kit?

    Late reply Is late.

I miss the feeling and sound of a live kit. Had acoustic kits since I was 12 years old so only having a electric kit makes me feel like I am losing mh edge.

Going back on what I have said above, I am thinking of sticking with an electric kit, but rather upgrading to a Roland TD4kx2. Anyone have one?

    Yeah i have one.
Its a nice kit, but I would strongly recommend saving and going for the TD9 instead (td9kx2 if possible)
the v-11 hi hat makes a massive difference, and the module on the td9 is quite a step up from the td4.

In saying that, i have had quite a bit of joy from my kit so far and there arent too many complaints. Its a decent practice kit

Thanks tau1z, maybe I should save up for the TD9 then. I really like the look of the TDkx2.

This looks like a really good price?: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/67242..._Drum_Kit.html

Edit: Sorry that one isn't the KX2. Man I really want one

I am also coming from a Roland HD1 so the TD4 might be a nice upgrade, even though its not the TD9.

Another addition, I am going to go for the TD4KX2, I know its not the biggest and best, but right now it will be a nice upgrade from my HD1. I can't really afford a TD9 at the moment and probably not for awhile. I did a fair bit of research last night on them, and the TD4 is huge step up from what I have at the moment.

Edit: Changed my mind AGAIN. I will wait for the TD9

It will be a big upgrade, but i think you will outgrow it quickly. Even if you just get the td9, you can add on the vh-11 later on. I got the td4 because i wasnt 100% sure i would like the electronic drum thing..

Yeah, I think I will have some patience and save up for a TD9KX2. At least then I know I will be happy with it for years to come, rather than keep upgrading in little steps.

Now. Where to find R24 000
