Where's the best place to get an IT/sales (channel manager ... product manager ... etc) type job?
I know gumtree and a few other places offer - but where do the guys like DCX, BCX, EOH or DD actually advertise?

Usually employment agencies.
I know a few that work some of the companies you mentione.
Pm me if you want and I will forward the consultants details.
Last place I would look is gumtree.

Ja, I saw a BCX job on Pnet the other day.
If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.
Tarsus advertises on it's own website.
THanks for the replies and PMs!
Instead of starting a new thread - thought I'd continue this.
If one was to study something in this, what could it be? I've seen a few project management courses ... or business courses?
EDIT : http://www.torque-it.com/index.php?o...id=63&Itemid=3 ... this seems OK?
Vertex is also big in IT recruiment....
While with ICL Computers, some years ago, I was involved in some Project Management - mainly consisted of massive rolls out like a few thousand PC / Server installation for entire Spoornet, Eskom, Telkom, Old Mutual (country wide) & Shoprite, Clicks, Rebel Liquor (POS). Objective is to streamline installations in quickest time frame possible, sub-contract networking cabling crews for LANS & WANS; install, configure routers/gateways (or nominate teams to do so). hardware & software asset register compilations + s/w licensing with respective authorities ...etc. Final stage before handover is client application s/w installation and tested to achieve their desired results...Tick of project!
Nowadays, requirements are mainly PMI PMBOK certifications with Microsoft Project (or something similar) management
s/w. Seems to be the current standard. I don't know if IT Torque specify that in their brochure?

Depends on the company, directly via web, LinkedIn(this seems to be the new way!), and via agencies.
When have you demonstrated leadership skills?
"Well my best example would be in online video gaming. I pretty much run the show; it takes a lot to do that."
