The latest Catalyst drivers (12.6) don't support the HD 2000 series, you will have to install Catalyst 12.4. I think AMD will be releasing a separate driver for the HD 4000 series and lower later this month.

Jeez, looks like a few people are having problems with ATI cards and machines freezing.
Thought I was the only one.

Its overheating I think, open your case use a big normal house fan and point it at the card. Let the fan blow while you go about using your computer I can almost bet it wont restart as long as the fan is blowing.

If that's the case fix the fan on the card or buy a new cooler
If you can read this... you can read.

Make sure to clean your Pc from dust especially the graphics card fan area.

Download and run this: Driver Sweeper

And remove the ATI driver, restart you Pc after completing.

Download and install the AMD/ATI driver 12.4
    Windows 7: http://www.filehippo.com/download_at...t_vista/12179/gmo
    Windows 7 64bit: http://www.filehippo.com/download_at...ista_64/12180/

It's Beta and not recommended, 12.4 was the last driver officially for the HD2000 series.
