I have just installed the graphics card PCIe and have installed the latest Catalyst drivers, since then the Computer freezes, I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04, under Ubuntu it works fine

The latest Catalyst drivers (12.6) don't support the HD 2000 series, you will have to install Catalyst 12.4. I think AMD will be releasing a separate driver for the HD 4000 series and lower later this month.

I also have Catalyst 10.2 and still the PC freezes but not BSOD

and when I went to AMD support and drivers site, I choose Desktop graphics, Radeon 2xxx series then win 7 then the drivers appeared

Its overheating I think, open your case use a big normal house fan and point it at the card. Let the fan blow while you go about using your computer I can almost bet it wont restart as long as the fan is blowing.

If that's the case fix the fan on the card or buy a new cooler
