Thread: Setting up D-Link 2750U

    Default Setting up D-Link 2750U

    Hi guys,

I have purchased the above-mentioned modem / router. When using the cd to install, I reach the point where I enter my ISP details. Then I get an error message stating that there is something wrong with my password or username and that I have to contact my ISP.

When trying to access http://10.0.0.2, sometimes I get a message that internet is unable to connect or the following:

    Warning!
Telkom ACS server is busy configuring the router now.

    Please try again later.

When I called Telkom, they helped me to connect using Windows wizard. My problem still is that I am unable to setup my wireless network with the modem.

From what I can tell, I have the most recent firmware (1.65).

Any advice please whom had similar issues?

PS: I have called D-Link for assistance, but they will come back to me.

Why on earth would you buy the router from Telkom!?

I'd suggest that you hard-reset the router and then try to set it up via http://10.0.0.2 or http://192.168.1.1 with Internet Explorer.

Go into the command prompt (The windows button on the bottom left of the keyboard, and at the same time hit "R"), type in "cmd", hit enter, then when the window comes up, type ipconfig. You will be greeted with something like this.

What you are looking for is the gateway IP, my one is

    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

Type that number into your web browser (192.168.0.1), username is usually admin, and password is admin or password.

You'll probably have to disconnect that PPPoE connection before you can access the ADSL modem's web page.

Did you manually set your IP address to 10.0.0.3?
Are you connecting to the router via WiFi or cable? I'd suggest that you connect to it by cable when trying to configure the modem.
