Hi guys. The title says it all really, does anyone know where in SA I can still buy one of these? I really don't want to spend 1k+ on a x-fi. Any ideas?

Hey guys im not shure how old this thread is...

but I am also looking for one of these.

I live in Cape Town, and Id be really really amped if you had one for me.
Id pay of course.

Does anyone actualy know where to get these, or if the supliers even bring them into SA?
Being chaintech i would think that they shoud be all over the place. Or at least at cafe java..

This is a really really good card for the money btw, thats why people want it. But it is only really good for music and a bit of movies. Not a gaming card, but I couldnt care about gaming if my music sounds good. It is also "optimized" (just works better) for 2.1 speakers, or any two channel. The DAC for 2.1 is alot better quality than its 5.1 DAC.

Heya
I thought I had one but after rummaging through my parts box I came across an M-Audio Revolution 7.1. You can have it for free if you want it.

Ja I know about that card. Id love it man, thanks alot.

But are you in Cape Town?

and ATI, i sort of explained it when i edited my post. But its just that the card costs under R300 and its better than a audigy 2 ZS for music.

I still have one in my cupboard somewhere as well. It was like R270 new and I wont sell it. Rather keep it for my spare PC.

K cool, well if you find a retailer that has them, let me know. I wouldnt mind getting my hands on one for that price...even if just to test it out.
