Getting Random Lag on Web Africa Home Uncapped

For what seems like a week now I have been getting random lag while playing Battlefield 3 on Webafrica Home Uncapped 384kbps. My ping would be 70ms+- and then would suddenly jump to 450ms+- now and then. My game becomes unplayable while this happens then about 20 or 30 seconds later it would return to 70ms. It doesn't seem to matter what server I play on

Any idea as to the cause? Is anyone else getting this?
 
As far as I know, random ping spikes was one of the most common complaints amongst WebAfrica customers earlier this year.

The strange thing is I have never gotten this before but now it's seriously getting irritating and it's affecting my game play. :(


What I am going to do is play on my free 1GB Afrihost account and see if I get the same results.

Morning NomNom,

We will need to get this looked into as I cant say what could be the cause of the lag. Please PM your client code and I will have this investigated.
 
Any news yet? it seems to get worse at night this afternoon it was okish, but since 2, 3 hours ago it's been terrible ping jumps to 450, 500 often.

I have passed this onto our ADSL support guys who will investigate further and they should be in contact with your shortly with some feedback.

Awesome news thanks, hope this can get resolved, I'm leaving to Cape Town Tomorrow for 11 days so when I get back will let you guys know if I still get this problem. Thanks again.
 
I have the same issues playing rift on the us servers, lag spikes up to 60 000 ms, my axxess account is fine. Logged a call over the weekend, WA still has not gotten back to me. Anybody else having similar issues?

If you have logged a support call then they should be getting back to you. Please PM me your client code so I can follow this up for you.
 
I have sent the details and only after a couple of mails I got a reply, that now WA wants more info more than a week later. I am sorry but WA service as gone from awesome very poor. It is shame really liked WA.


Anybody got a suggestion for a good ISP for mmo gaming?
 
Well again WA came to the party not just solving my problem on my primary account they gave me test account that proved even better. Will be giving sales a call later in the week. Awesome service WA.
