RIM unveil new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet

So the first one apparently wasn't enough of a flop. Are they trying to throw money away on purpose?

You have got to be kidding me?! It's as if they're hellbent on destroying their own company. I do not understand their management whatsoever...

I would love to have one. Seriously. Would like to see what it can do and how well it can do those things. Always game for a gadget test.

It's a brilliant device after the OS2 update. I'm using one now, it's even more awesome if you have a blackberry phone. I could go as far as to say it's better than any android tablet out there.:)

All the article says it will have cellular network support, nothing else. The rest is just padding.

Alexandra is that you?

This just amuses the hell out of me..

I'm gonna guess you still need a CrackBerry phone to actually do email or anything of the sort.

No. v2 has native support as well as built in 3G whereas before was wifi only.

But what are they bringing to the party now that they've eventually caught up? Blackberry network usage? Which will effectively turn it into a brick at their network speeds. All they're offering is a different flavour of operating system in an already complicated market. Oh and as a hardware manufacturer, they have a pretty awful name...
