Just got Android (S3) ... A friend says there is an app that gives you aperture/shutter settings ... But can't seem to find one :/ Most seem to tether to an SLR or are editors etc

Is there such s thing to give manual control?

I thought he said it was an app that gave me all the manuals controls of an SLR ... F stops, shutter length etc

Not going to happen. The S3 is physically missing a part...specifically the "SLR" part in "DSLR" and no amount of software is going to put it there. Some things you might be able to emulate, but its going to be subpar at best.

Not going to happen. The S3 is physically missing a part...specifically the "SLR" part in "DSLR" and no amount of software is going to put it there. Some things you might be able to emulate, but its going to be subpar at best.

Unlike a point and shoot or dslr the only required "part" that seems to be missing from what I've read is a variable aperture.

Sounds like you are getting it confused with DSLR control which allows you to connect your phone to your DSLR via USB and control it

There is one look in your samsung apps shorcut on your phone I haven't tried it but it is there.
It is called DSLR camera by Dinh Thi Mong Mo if that helps...
