Neotel NeoFlex WiMAX Lite versus Telkom uncapped ADSL

This pricing is beyond pathetic. Should be R200 & R350 respectively. Expect these prices to remain stagnant for a long time while ADSL prices will continue to drop.

dumb article is dumb.

Why not compare against Telkom WiMax as well

Because AFAIK it's not available to order anymore and is only 512k

I'm still waiting for a link to these products on Neotel's site. So far I only see their business stuff, and there's no coverage map.

If the marketing and product dev team over at Neofail had done this comparison... they might have realised, their Wimax products are over priced. Even though I hate supporting and funding Telkom, their ADSL products are the most stable form of broadband on the market! Once fibre becomes main stream, probably in the very distant future, this will change!

RPM, does Telkom have FUP's on their uncapped ADSL products? Either way is would be good to mention the penalty imposed by Neotel Wimax products FUP's:

0.512mbps... is throttled to 0.256mbps... after 60GB
1mbps... is throttled to 0.512mbps after 120GB

I'm sure Neotel will claim they charge more because their products are completely unshaped, but alas the FUP's prove different!

Please Neotel tell us why we would purchase this product over the mirad of comparable ADSL options out there??

Just checked the Neotel website... zilch about this new product...

Yet another Neofail...

Another fail from Neotel. Telkom is cheaper and more reliable. Cable will always reign supreme over wireless. People are quick to critizise Telkom but thank goodness they are here. Imagine having to depend on Neotel alone!

I just had a look at the coverage map, click on the Wimax Data Services button and it shows the Wimax coverage.

I have no coverage in my area.

Was curious, but did not found anything like that.
