What an appology. Just a bunch of fingerpointing and conjecture.

Did you read about the part where he was blaming Google, and how google had problems in the beginning etc..., and how google did not allow for turn by turn navigation on apple? Thats called finger pointing. It is always also helpfull to read between the lines and come up with the truth. The Conjecture i speak of is all the theorizing without any indication of when it would be fixed.

What I could not see in this article while reading it was "We knew we were going to do a number on our customers, but did it anyway as they are such forgiving and appologetic folk. Sorry for taking you for granted and asking you to pay a premuim for it."

Neither of those is blaming Google for the flaws in Apple's application.

I don't get this from the article. The jist seems like a reasonable apology compared to the past under the leadership of Jobs.

I've still got my original maps app on some devices and I don't see turn by turn there but anyway.

Sounds like an apology to me.

I'm starting to think he has serious problems reading.

He's just confusing Tim Cook's letter with the commentary about the letter. Happens all the time when you're on a crusade and can't be bothered to read. For some reason when it comes to Apple stuff, normally rational people lose all sense.

He's stuck in his own little reality distortion field.
