If spending tax payers money is proof of what this nation can do, then it is also proof that South Africa will have no future when the coffers run dry.
 
Millions spent to service only a small percentage of people.. Dumb dumb dumb.
That money and effort could have been put to better use upgrading existing infrastructure.
 
Madman I assume you don't use the gautrain.

I would happily approve a massive expansion of the gautrain system to run all the way from Soweto to town and from Midrand to Krugersdorp, running past Bryanston, Northgate and Clearwater on it's way.

We need more projects like this to improve our overall transport infrastructure and the movement of people, not less.

Add a few stations in Pretoria North, East and West please.
If the Gautrain is expanded that much you'll probably find the taxi industry will try to sabotage it.
I'd love to use the Gautrain but the feeder network is extremely limited so I'm forced to own a vehicle just to get to the station.
