  1. #1

    Default DSTV Code for Dish

Does anybody know if the code changed on the DSTV decoder for the advanced setup screens (dish, LNB etc). The code used to be 9949, but after an updated seem to change.

Phew ... thanks lcbxx .. I was worried there for a moment. It must be something els then. Could it be that the decoder locks you out for a while when entering the wrong code more than three times?

I had the same problem with it not accepting 9949 - try pulling the plug and resetting it. That worked for me.

It never accepts 9949 for the parental control part for me (PVR-II). But as far as I know it was accepting for setup section.

If you don't have any "extra" channels, look for a setting called restore factory defaults
