CellC 500MB + iPad Mini 3G/Wifi for R199

Makro are running an Easter special on a CellC 24 months contract for R199 PM and you get an iPad Mini 3G/Wifi along with 500MB per month.

This has me tempted to go get one. I planned on moving to CellC in 2 month's anyway, so this could be a nice deal to get me used to them until I port my primary number over.

Is this deal good? It appears to be but want to make sure.
 
CellC currently sell a 500MB x 24 contract for R45/pm, so that gives you a device cost of R154/pm. So the iPad mini will cost you R3696 over 24 months. Quick look for a cash price on the 16GB with Cellular model says R5099, so looks like a good deal.

I feel tempted to actually sign up for this deal but have too many gadgets as is. Probably they want to clear out their inventory cos probably a new iPad device is around the corner.
 
With the current Cellc Data issues at the moment I would be careful
(Signal but no throughput)
 
I spoke to a technical guy at Cell C the other day and he told me by next week things should be finished. They doing network upgrades of some sort. So probably they releasing firmware for their base stations or backhaul capacity being upgraded.

I have faith in CELL C, already they doing their best wanting to help me out with the situation I am experiencing
 
Look at the posts on cell c data issue.
Cell c data does not work, I have been strugling for months. Every time I go in to a store or phone in its the same story, some one will investigate and later the ref is closed or the store guy charges me for a sim swap.

Cell C just closes the ref numbers with out telling me and when i phone in they just say its resoved.

We have escalated examples of some of the network reference numbers to senior management of the network team and they have assured us that they will pay special attention to this challenges and provide us with feedback.

Wow that is such a tempting deal.

Really want an andriod tablet, but damn, try find one with decent specs and 3G :(

well to the my BB forum... the feedback I receive from cell c is " ticket closed it has been resolved"
