Was wondering if anyone out there had any ideas if solar could work for a fishpond and what cost it would be.
I'm currently running a 0.75kw pump 24h/day and would like something off grid to do the same to take away some of the cost.
Also swimming pool solar pumps? Worth it? or too much hassle?

jees...

How big is your "fish" pond??

My pool pump is .75kw and my pool is nearly 20000l.

Is there something that you could retrofit? Ie add a panel/battery etc to current pump... New pumps seem to start at around R13k - quite pricy...

that seems to be exactly what Lorentz is doing. Which means that you can contact any PV installer. try Romano or emergent energy.
