Hi Guys

I need to place 4 APs in a office about 600 m/sq.Just intested to know would you guys
go Ruckus or ubiquiti or some other product please.

Thanks
DD

Depends on your budget, and what exactly you want to do.

Ubiquiti rules unless you want to play around with mikrotik. Then mikrotik rules, but you have to know a lot more
But costwise and ease of use, i would put ubiquiti close to the top

Buy four Ubiquiti UniFi APs, configure them on your desk, install them and forget about the installation.

If you need clever routing, power them from a MikroTik RB750UP. If they are going to be part of the same LAN as the rest of the network, power them from a Ubiquity Toughswitch.

That's similar to comparing a d-link and a Cisco ;) they're very different levels of device.

Thanks ,Will they Mesh, or will they have seperate SSIDs ?

When a basic device like the Zoneflex 7341 goes at the mighty Amazon for over $300, you really have to ask yourself if you want/need to spend that kind of tom. Also, at least one way to get to 600 sq.m is 30x20, that's not even a big space ..just how much WLAN traffic are you running anyway? Or are there other physical/building considerations for needing that many?

As to equipment, there's quite a bit that would likely sort you out, but before you get to answering the question, consider whether you have properly defined the question in the first place.

Real estate is very expensive in some areas. For example, a call centre in the Cape Town foreshore could have 500 people in a space like that. An open plan office that works on four people per 16 sq.m could have between 35 and 40 people. BYOD means those 35 people could have more than 100 devices between them that all need network connections.

Four APs is not unreasonable.

Hi,

As the thread is comparing the two products, this may of interest for those looking at a high density roll out :

There is no doubt in my mind that Ubiquiti has it's place in the market and pricing is unreal, but it is a consumer grade AP and does have its limitations
