I have managed to hook up my LG Scarlet TV and Sony A/V / DVD combo but not the PVR.... I saw in the list of "Set top boxes" in the app there was Multichoice and UEC - tried both on my HD-PVR2 and SD-PVR and both did not work.

Anyone found a remote setting to control them?
 
anyone know a better app that the default watchon to control an oldish lcd, i'm looking for an app that has more buttons that the usual channel and volume options, like for eg my LG lcd has an eco setting (power saving) and i would like to control that via the S4 if possible, any ideas ?

if you set up watchon on the bottom of the screen under source is an arrow if dragged up will show a menu button and controls maybe this will enable you to access the settings you want
 
I just have to add. Had so much fun with mine at Tony's Spaghetti on saturday when they wouldn't turn up the sound on the rugby. *very evil grin*
 
I wrote a little app that actually solves the dstv remote issue, because I was also looking to get it working.

Search on the market for the app, it is called dstv remote.

I use this

Haven't tested on hdpvr yet only Sd pvr
It supports a lot of brands

I did not have much time to make it pretty. I got some suggestions already. One guy wants me to arrange the buttons like on the remote. Another guy said I should add support for the dsd 910. Perhaps I will do it this weekend. All suggestions welcome.

Thanks.. works with my pace... have a SD next to it... how does it determine which decoder I'm talking to?
Arranging to match the actual remote would be awesome please.

Please see if you can add support for the Explora. Your app currently doesn't work on mine.

Would really appreciate it. :)

+1 or at least add a setting to disable rotation.
