    Default NCDowloader

Anyone ever heard of this? One of my clients claims it came up on her machine today wanting to download some or other framework. I won't be able to go there till at least 2-ish but I wonder what it is and, more importantly, how she got it.

    What is NCDownloader?
NCDownloader is an ad-supported product that installs various toolbars during the installation and setup process. Users are not given the option to not include the bundled plugin, a web browser extension designed to deliver advertising.

Sounds dodgy! At the very least it is an advert spammer program.

Ja - got the same thing. Like a Babylon type scam. Wonder how she got this. They all insist that they never download a thing but somehow these nasty hijackers are getting in.

Sometimes gets bundled with other freeware and if you are not careful to uncheck all the little boxes it gets silently installed.

You should install a HOSTS file on all their computers that blocks those known crapware IP addresses...
