Configuring CentOS 6 as an Email Server via Sendmail

The properties of your file/ folder.
Good evening.

Can anyone please advise, or perhaps provide some links on how to configure Sendmail on CentOS?
Input from the actual server installation (best practices), up until the full functioning email server would be appreciated.
First time working with CentOS, so as much detail as possible would be great.

Are you familiar with Sendmail? Unless you can do this unassisted, don't go anywhere near Sendmail. It's not an easy tool. I would highly recommend Postfix. Go to http://www.howtoforge.com/howtos/linux/centos and look through the howtos. They tend to have a few different ways of going about it.

And for the love of all that's holy, stay away from qmail.
