Hello,

Where can I get a PS2 repaired in the JHB area. My son's PS2 just stopped reading discs. I have heard of ICSS and their abysmal service, so I want to stay clear of them.

A friend of mine sent his PS2 to ICSS here in Durbs, think same prob. Service was good and quick, cost R700 tho, dunno if thats as bad as i think seeing that a new console is 1400 or something.
 
Yup, you'll prolly need the laser replaced. Mine broke again for the 3rd time now, not going to have it repaired / replaced again.

house near the service road - they have a placard type thing on the ontdekkers pavement. Sorry - cannot give better directions.
Seems reasonable.
 
If it isn't a slim model and the laser has died you're probably out of luck. There are replacement lasers, but they are not even as good as the Sony ones.
